FFM with Video Tutorial and Beautiful West Virginia

West Virginia

We are back from our fantastic vacation in West Virginia!  It was SO much fun and we really enjoyed ourselves.  We stayed in a house along the Cacapon River and had a blast at Cacapon State Park.  We went swimming, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding and made s’mores on the outdoor firepit.  On the last day, we drove to Harper’s Ferry and went whitewater rafting down the Shenandoah River.  The guides stopped the rafting along the way for us to swim in the river and it was a fantastic day!

FFM: A Matching Pair of Vintage End Tables

end tables

We had a very busy weekend. My husband and eldest daughter went to Williamsburg for her softball tournament, my youngest went to the beach with her friend, and my son and I had the house to ourselves and it became strangely quiet!  I made sure Charlotte’s furniture got settled into her new room, got a haircut, played tennis, went for a hike with Lucky, and had fun at a Nats game with my son where we ate Shake Shack burgers and chili cheese fries – good thing I went for that hike 🙂  Everyone is all back and I am happy to have a loud house once again!  That is actually mud on Lucky’s paws during our hike.  He looks like he has webbed feet!

FFM – It’s a Match! What Are the Odds?

It's a Match!

This week’s FFM was true luck.  I was out and about the other day at the thrift store when I looked down and couldn’t believe my eyes.  I found (what I thought) was the exact match to a small table that I shared with you all a few months ago (Before and After in Annie Sloan Aubusson for My Home). This is not an ordinary/find them all over the place, kind of table.  How very strange! I mean really, what are the odds?

Design on a Dime – Thrift Store Tables & Seagull Gray

Seagull Gray Tables

Design on a dime is true to my heart.  My home is full of my “finds” that I have repurposed and thrown into my decor.  I love that they are one of a kind, interesting and, well, cheap!

A great way to save is by finding small end tables that can be put next to a sofa or chair or even against a wall.  I just don’t see spending hundreds of dollars on a small table.  When out and about, I always am on the look for a good, matching set of tables.  If you find a pair, snap them up!

I was scrolling through my pictures today and came across some phone pics of pieces that I have done over the years.  Here is a fun before and after post.  Amazing what paint can do!

My Favorite Small Table Transformations

It’s Sunday and most of us are inside trying to stay warm this very cold February day!  What better day to share a few lovely table transformations?  Some are quite old and some new but all are my favorites.

I cheated and added those desks and vanity at the end. I couldn’t help myself 🙂
