Before and After

Console Tables and Spring Changes

Living Room Spring Decor

I just finished the Easter Pink Console Table and decided to add it into my decor!  I have been looking for a narrow console table for my living room and this fits perfectly.  In the hope that spring is around the corner, I tidied up and switched the room around. Yes, a little spring cleaning!  I always put things away and bring things out when the seasons change.

Easter Pink Console Table Before and After

Console Table in Pink

This little console table was purchased last month at a thrift store.  It was wrapped up but all of its pieces were there and I could tell that it had potential!

I went with a pop of pink (Behr Marquee Vintage Tea Rose) on the bottom and sanded back the top.  I used Varathane gray stain and then sanded it back again.  It toned down the reddish tone and gave it an aged look.

Vintage Bow Front Dresser Before and After

Vintage Bow Front Dresser

This was quite a gorgeous find!  I picked it up a few weeks ago and posted about it on Favorite Find Monday (post HERE).  It was claimed pretty quickly by a reader of mine and she came by to discuss colors/finish for the piece.  Her inspiration?  This pic I took at the Annie Sloan Shop in Oxford (post HERE).  The challenge had been thrown and I went to work!

French End Table Before and After

French Table in Annie Sloan Old Ochre

I mentioned last week how I was working on the French End Tables.  However, I was only able to share how beautifully the top had turned out in Minwax Early American stain.Honestly, I had used the little table as a test piece to try out a few paint colors/finishes for a dresser that I am working on.  This is why I wasn’t able to share the full “before and after” with you last week as it was kind of a hot mess of a paint job!

French Table Top in Minwax Early American

It has been awhile since I last shared these little French end tables.  They are a pair but one had its bottom missing – or so I thought!

I decided to get started on the tables and first tackled the one with the missing bottom.  When I opened its doors, lo and behold, there the bottom was!  It had shifted at some point while being moved about and slid up to the very top of the interior and was smack up against the top. I managed to pry it down and voila!  You can actually see the bottom against the interior top (confusing!) in this picture.

Louis Blue Vintage Dresser Before and After

Annie Sloan Louis Blue Dresser

I’ve had fun the past few days working on this great crackle finished dresser that I picked up a few weeks ago.  I shared it on my Favorite Find Monday and here is its before pic:

The dresser was full of detail and I knew it would look amazing once it was painted.  I went with a classic color combination – Annie Sloan Louis Blue with gold highlights.  The gorgeous hardware is original and the dresser even has a working key for those keyhole drawers.  Beautiful!

Glamorous Pink Mid-Century Modern Table

Behr Glamorous

You likely don’t remember this sweet little mid-century modern table.

I purchased it and had fun sanding back the top in this YouTube video:

I also used this table to creat a YouTube video on how I clean old brass:

I painted it in General Finishes milk paint (POST HERE) and listed it.

And, there it sat.  It’s funny sometimes with pieces.  The ones that I believe will sell immediately sometimes just sit.  It likely was the color (such a bright blue) or the fact that a lot of people prefer a pair of tables.  Honestly, I have no idea.  A few weeks ago a customer contacted me who wanted to purchase it but she needed it repainted in pink.  Why not?!  She chose Behr Glamorous and here is the new “after” of this little MCM table!
