The whole wall

the before & after gallery…

One long scroll through the studio’s favourite saves — chests, cabinets, tables and a full bedroom set, each one dragged from a tired “before” into a finish it can be proud of. When you’re done here, dip into the focused collections below, sorted by paint line and project.

Drag your eye, before → after

GF Rembrandt Red

Empire Chest in Rembrandt Red

A serious Empire chest, all curves and weight, reborn in General Finishes Rembrandt Red. Deep, saturated, and just glossy enough to feel like a statement rather than a craft project.

Persian Blue

French Persian Blue China Cabinet

Glass doors, fluted columns, and a tired orange finish. Persian Blue gave it depth; a little distress on the edges kept it from looking brand-new. Now it shows off the dishes instead of competing with them.

Lamp Black + Brass

Black & Brass Long Dresser

A long, low nine-drawer dresser taken to inky Lamp Black, then dressed with warm brass hardware. The before was builder-grade brown; the after belongs in a magazine.

Turquoise Chalk Paint

French Turquoise Lane Chest

A cedar Lane chest with great bones and dated stain. A French-leaning turquoise woke it right up; we kept the cedar interior raw so it still does its job at the foot of a bed.

Layered Creamy White

Creamy White Chest on Chest

Two stacked cases, lots of trim, layered in a soft creamy white and gently distressed. Tall, calm, and the kind of piece a whole bedroom can organise itself around.

Griege + Persimmon Interior

Griege & Persimmon Cabinet

Neutral on the outside, a jolt of warm persimmon within. We love this trick — the cabinet reads quiet against a wall, then surprises you every time the doors open.

Annie Sloan Florence

Florence Dresser

Florence is a bold, peacock teal-green, and this dresser could take it. Distressed back at the high points and waxed dark in the recesses, it landed somewhere between vintage and downright glamorous.

Two-Tone French Country

Grey & White French Country Sideboard

Soft grey body, white detailing, hardware refreshed. A sideboard that had gone dingy and brown now feels like it wandered in from a French country kitchen.

Painted + Stencilled Top

Diamond Table

A plain occasional table given a hand-laid diamond pattern across the top. Subtle from across the room, a little gift up close — the sort of detail that turns furniture into a conversation.

Soft Neutral + Gold

French Drexel Tables

A pair of Drexel side tables, matched and made over together. A soft neutral body with whispered gold on the carving — proof that small pieces deserve the same care as the showstoppers.

GF Coastal Blue

Coastal Blue Bedroom Set

A whole set — dresser, nightstands, headboard — unified in General Finishes Coastal Blue. Pulling a mismatched bedroom together with one colour is one of the most satisfying jobs we do.

Lamp Black + Gold Detail

Lamp Black & Gold Desk

A modest desk made dramatic: flat black body, gilded edges, fresh pulls. It started life forgettable and ended up the favourite thing in the room.
